Practice Description, Specialties, Treatment Modalities Used (other than Homeopathy) & other Relevant Biographical Details

Dr. Jennea Wood is a licensed naturopathic physician. She approaches each patient with a deep sense of curiosity about their story and what makes them unique. She believes in the innate healing capacity of the body and spirit, and her greatest satisfaction is in working with people struggling with chronic illness who are motivated to discover the root causes of what is making them sick, so they can truly heal.

Dr. Wood graduated with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She also completed a two-year training in homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy, and training in Cranialsacral therapy through Moving Mountain Institute. She considers herself a lifelong student and is continuously reading scientific journals and homeopathy or botanical medicine texts, studying with her mentors and participating in additional trainings to deepen her knowledge and understanding of human health.

Dr. Wood treats people of all ages and offers a holistic approach to primary care. She believes that health is a lifelong journey, since each person encounters stresses along the way. She loves to help her patients find the routines of diet, movement, relaxation and fun that leave them feeling vibrantly healthy and able to embrace life and tackle the challenges that arise. Her areas of specialty include gastrointestinal, endocrine, respiratory and autoimmune disease. Dr. Wood has a strong focus in homeopathy and finds that it is one of the most powerful forms of medicine for helping shift people out of stuck symptom patterns, whether physical or mental/emotional. She also uses nutrition, cranialsacral therapy and botanical medicine to help remove obstacles to health and stimulate self-healing mechanisms.

When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Wood can be found backpacking, climbing mountain peaks, reading in a hammock or cooking delicious and nutritious food.
