his first years in practice, it became clear to Dr. Herscu
that
there was no modern materia medica which addressed the presentation
of children in both health and illness. He set about to
write
such a book, based solely on what he had seen in practice.
The book describes the eight most common constitutional
types in
children and how they would appear to parent, teacher and
doctor alike. The case histories which are interwoven throughout
the
book, bring to life the detailed examples. Each remedy contains,
in addition to the materia medica, a confirmatory checklist
