Writing:

• Dr. Herscu’s The Homeopathic Treatment of Children: Pediatric Constitutional Types (1991), was a breakthrough volume transforming the way naturopathic doctors use homeopathy with children. This book, which has been translated into numerous languages remains a classic, especially as it describes how young patients present in the office.

• Dr. Rothenberg’s 2011 book The A Cappella Singer Who Lost Her Voice & other stories from Natural Medicine opens a window into her work providing natural and integrative medicine to her patients. By sharing patient stories, these essays and reflections helps define and exemplify the work of naturopathic medicine.

• Dr. Rothenberg’s 2022 book You Finished Treatment, Now What? A Field Guide for Cancer Survivors is a road map to address health challenges that persist after cancer care and to reduce the risk of recurrence. The book features naturopathic medicine and CAM approaches, much of which are also relevant for cancer prevention and overall healthy living. Written for cancer survivors/thrivers, those who care for them, as well as health care providers, this book pulls together both her years of experience as an ND and her personal survivor/thriver story.

• Both have authored books on homeopathy and/or naturopathic medicine where the relationship between the two is highlighted.

Both worked to found, edit, and produce the New England Journal of Homeopathy from 1992-2002, the first peer reviewed journal in the English language devoted to homeopathy.

Dr. Herscu has written on the topic of epidemics for over 30 years. He has a blog for the sole purpose of hosting timely epidemic updates, including archive links to the free timely updates he’s sent out since 2001, from the Anthrax Scare, to the Swine Flu, the tainted dog food issue, the issues surrounding radiation after the Japanese earthquake, and all various other seasonal epidemics in between. Most recently he has written extensively on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Rothenberg has consistently written for Homeopathy Today, the periodical of the National Center of Homeopathy, always underscoring how her naturopathic doctor training works hand in hand with homeopathy.

• Dr, Herscu has been published extensively on topics related to drug discovery and development and ADHD subpopulation and treatment response research, influenza treatment studies, and public health readiness in complementary and integrative medicine. They have each been published extensively in homeopathy journals, naturopathic medicine journals, and online, often aiming the spotlight on naturopathic medicine and what it has to offer for both the prevention and treatment of illness.
